Pit Bull vs. Stun Gun

December 27th, 2011 by admin | No Comments | Filed in Uncategorized

My story takes place while taking a walk in my neighborhood. A by the name of Satan broke through his fence and charged at me while his owner was away. This may not have happened if Kevin was home with his dogs.

My first instinct was to run, but I new the dog would catch me so I turned to face him. At first he paused, then lunged at me clamping onto my arm with his massive jaws. The pain and fear made me think I was going to die. I screamed for help and then noticed a tall male running towards me holding a black object in his hand. He drove the object into the neck of Satan with extreme audacity and pressed a button that screeched out an arch of lightening that pounded the to the ground… I was bleeding terribly while the person with the 775,000 volt stun gun stood above Satan waiting for him to move..

The man that saved me is a security guard…….. We are very good friends’ and I believe he saved my life. Without the stun gun he could not have helped me…

Pit bulls are dangerous dogs that have caused death to people and other animals. Over the past few years since the year 1995 up to 2005 there have been multiple dog attacks against both adults and children.

One case recently in 2005, there were some children playing in their suburban neighborhood as they always did during spring break. Three dogs escaped from their back yard and found their way through the neighborhood to were the children were playing. Without warning the dogs attacked the children. The children never saw the dogs. The one child that survived the attack said the dogs came out of the bushes.

Two children lost their lives that day. The autopsy revealed that the dogs were digesting human remains. They not only attacked, but began to eat the children. It was apparent to the officials that the dogs had not been fed by their owner for some time. The dogs were hungry. They were not Chihuahuas that were hungry, but Pit Bulls.

If the children had been wearing a Dog Chaser that lets out an ultrasonic frequency that scares off unwanted approaches of dogs up to 15 feet, they may still be alive today.

Are Pit Bulls Killers

December 21st, 2011 by admin | No Comments | Filed in Uncategorized

Let me start off by stating that not all pit bulls are born dangerous. The real source of the danger lies with irresponsible ownership. These dogs are not human aggressive by nature. They are also one of the most abused breed of animals in this country.

Pit bulls are just about average for number of dog bites, and believe it or not the lovable Labrador Retriever gives the most bites per year.

Pits tend to be animal aggressive but despite what the media may have you believe they are not born killers. Human aggression is a completely separate trait from aggression toward other dogs or other animals. Dog aggression is a very common trait in pit bulls. In contrast human aggression is not. In both cases the reason is a result of breeding and training.

One of the most important things to consider before you buy a is the history of the breeder as well as how much time you have to care for the dog.

This is not a breed for couch potato’s; these dogs need a good amount of exercise. Training, love, and proper care are the keys to success with this very athletic breed.

Pit bulls are characterized by their short stocky but strong bodies. American bulldogs are larger and have a higher working drive where as pit bulls are smaller and are more animal aggressive. Still saying that all pit bulls are mean and dangerous is an uneducated generalization of this breed.

Pit bulls were originally bred for blood sports, like Bull and Badger bating and dog fighting. Although aggression towards other animals would be a desirable trait for these sports, the dog’s handlers needed to be able to reach in and separate their dogs to administer some first aid so they could continue to tear each other apart, if that makes any sense.

Because of the dog handlers need to interact with these powerful animals these fighters had to be bred to be human friendly. This is why a is a poor choice for a guard dog. They instinctively like people.

Blue pit bulls have become very much in demand and are currently the favorite color.

Most of these dogs are very intelligent, tenacious, and yes fearless. They have become the villain of choice today when it comes to viscous dog attacks, some of which are deserved.

What I have learned is that pit bulls are not born mean.

There are two things that make these dogs dangerous…

1. Ignorance

2. Bad owners.

There are currently a number of cities around the US that have or are looking to band pit bulls. But what will this accomplish?

Assuming for a moment that you ban them, the same problem owners that now raise pit bulls for all the wrong reasons will just choose other breeds: let’s say Rottweiler to abuse and train to be aggressive.

Responsible ownership and stricter breeding regulations is the only real way to address the issue of dangerous and aggressive dogs.

How to Keep Your Pit Bull’s Attention While Dog Training

November 11th, 2011 by admin | No Comments | Filed in Uncategorized

There are certain rules that you should follow every single time you work on training your Pit Bull Terrier. One of these things is making sure that you are training him in an area where there aren’t lots of distractions. Distractions can be an important tool used for training your Pit Bull Terrier, however it is important to get the basics down before doing so.

When your dog has mastered the basic commands that you’ve taught him and is excelling in his obedience training exercises without distractions, it is at this point that you can begin introducing outside distractions to challenge him more. Doing this is a great strategy that will teach him to follow your commands even when there are other things going on around him.

Your ultimate goal is to have your Pit Bull obey your commands regardless of location or environment. As your dog progresses in his training, you’ll be able to give him a command in the middle of a crowded area and he’ll obey you. This is an important thing for not only his safety, but the safety of other people and animals as well. Having a well-trained dog can eliminate many of the horror stories you hear related to owning a dog.

You should also learn to prevent your dog’s mistakes by learning what makes him falter. For example, if you’ve given the sit stay command to your Pit and he starts to get up, correct him immediately so he learns. You’ll definitely know when he is getting ready to break the command by the signs he gives. He may bite or lick his paw, act uneasy and figity, etc. Whatever your dog does when his attention is beginning to stray, recognize it and work on regaining his attention.

Don’t Let Your Dog Run Loose

November 9th, 2011 by admin | No Comments | Filed in Uncategorized

I’m calling for more people to take responsibility for their dogs. My small Jack Russell Terrier was the victim of a loose dog attack. My dog doesn’t weigh much, maybe ten pounds. A loose dog in the neighborhood came into my yard and attacked my little dog while he was going potty.

This outraged me and I was very upset to see the big dog take down my smaller breed. The dog in question was a cross between a Lab and a Pit Bull. People cannot let their dogs run loose. There are laws against this and it’s a question of moral responsibility. I realize that some people just don’t give a hoot about their animals and they don’t care about other people. However, it’s unacceptable to have a dog from your house running free so it can hurt another animal or person.

My Jack Russell turned out to be okay. He was hurt, but he has now healed. It doesn’t take away from the pain he suffered at the time. It’s not funny or cool to allow an animal, such as a dog, to be unfenced or to be unchained at your residence. It’s unethical and it causes problems all around. It falls under common courtesy. We all need to remind ourselves we live in a society where we have to respect all people and obey the township’s laws we reside in. There is never an excuse to leave your dog or any other animal unattended. I can understand how cats may be able to run freely, they don’t pose an immediate threat or danger.

If you have a dog, goat, or whatever, take responsibility for your animal. You could get sued, fined, or anything else. It causes grief and grief is never a good thing. I wished people cared for their animals more in a society where it seems that anything goes now a days. If you keep your dogs secure then I applaud you. This articles is more for those who don’t seem to care.

God Bless.

Are Pitbulls Dangerous?

November 7th, 2011 by admin | No Comments | Filed in Uncategorized

Pitbulls by nature, are the most effective and experienced fighting dogs ever produced. Pit bulls fight longer, more effectively, and better than any other animal.

Pitbulls often are very aggressive towards other animals. This is something that can be socialized out of the k-9 if you raise them from a puppy.

The term “Gameness” is often used when referring to Pitbulls. Gameness as an attribute means never backing down, fighting to the death even with missing limbs and eyes, and always wanting to contest with another animal.

Pitbulls also possess a staggeringly high thresh-hold for pain, this coupled with their tenacity help make them the ultimate warrior.

Pitbulls have the strongest bite-grip of ALL K-9’s. Their jaws are powerful enough to break bones, and bite deeply into the bone through the muscle. This in its self is very unique in the K-9

kingdom because most can’t even bite deep into the muscle of their prey or opponent.

The Pit Bull is a highly athletic breed as well; it is possible for the dog to vertically get over an 8ft. fence won’t be a problem if the dog sees something he wants on the other side.

There are two things that make Pitbulls dangerous dogs…

1. Ignorance

2. Bad owners.

Any animal that possesses the determination, gameness, and brute strength that this k-9 breed does, needs an intelligent, attentive, and loving owner to focus these attributes in productive ways.

Pitbulls are not born killers. They can be trained to be very effective fighters, just as they can be raised to be very loving companions.

So are Pitbulls dangerous?

I guess the true answer lies in how you will raise yours.
